The story behind the page

A note from Brandi and Ken

Sep. 8, 2026 Well it only took three years, but four days ago we finally purchased our first blue water boat. We are now the proud owners of a 1979 Pearson 35'. Yes it is old but it has been pretty well maintained and comes with so many extras; solar, Starlink, radar, dingy davits, dodger and more! We left the house on Wednesday Sep 2. We arrived in Mattapoisett Massachusets on Friday morning Sep 4th. We looked at the boat, we purchased the boat, had it taken off dry dock and put back in the water. There were no leaks, so we started loading it up with all that we had brought. We then spent Saturday & Sunday getting to know the boat, and left out Monday morning. We made it to New Port Road Island in the after noon where we stayed on a mooring ball until this moring where we made our way to Block Island. We will stay here for the next few day to shelter from a gail wind event. Then we will start making our way back down the coast. As I write this I am listening to a pod of dolphins swiming around the boat!
